Cognetics is seeking a top-notch Usability Professional to expand our Usability and Interface Design Team. Our breakthrough designs range from providing information architectures for simple intranet web sites to defining the user experience for large-scale enterprise systems.

Our team is made up of individuals who are highly motivated and independent thinkers with the ability to alternate between taking the lead in client-facing roles and working as supporting members of the design team. Using The LUCID Framework^TM, our own methodology for implementing a user-centered design philosophy, they approach the design of the user interface through targeted activities with clear, polished deliverables.

In addition, we expect our professional staff to be organized, with the ability to commit to schedules and construct project plans.

• The proficiency to apply user centered design principles to their work and contribute to the evolution of the LUCID Framework
• The expertise to drive the conceptual and detailed design, prototypes, and specification of site presentation, behavior, and functionality
• The ability to gather and analyze end-user feedback in order to improve and validate user interface design, as well as the ability to perform heuristic reviews and other forms of usability analysis
• Strong writing and presentation skills
• Strong client-facing skills
• High quality standards, with the ability to be appropriately pragmatic
• An eye for aesthetics, with an understanding of how to marry graphic design elements and user-centered design
